Sports Injury

Athletes push their body to the breaking point and, at times, beyond by performing increasingly more rigorous training. Despite the meticulous care and training athletes take for their bodies, many experience musculoskeletal injuries.

If you or one of your family members is in athletics, regular chiropractic care can keep your body strength and capability at its peak. Just ask some of the world’s most famous athletes, like Lance Armstrong, Emmitt Smith, Evander Holyfield, or Tiger Woods, who all turn to regular chiropractic care as part of their physical regiment. Chiropractors have specific training in evaluating and treating injuries frequently experienced by athletes, such as problems with the spine, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves.

Here at Impact Clinic, we’re dedicated to the optimal health and performance of our local athletes. We provide care for the TSC Hurricane Soccer Club, as well as care for a large majority of local distance runners, long distance cyclists, and body builders competing at national levels and general competitors at the CrossFit Games. Get your body back in harmony and at its highest performance by scheduling an appointment today.

Custom Foot Orthotics

If you suffer from reoccurring episodes of back and joint pain, or from issues with your spine, legs, neck, or feet, an orthotic could get you back into a life of motion. Feet often become misaligned, injured, or out of balance, which does not allow the three arches and 26 bones in each foot to properly distribute the compressive forces when you are walking, standing, or running. This can cause stressful affects on your spine and soft tissue.

An orthotic supports the anatomical weaknesses in your foot allowing balance to be restored. With precise measurements taken from our X-ray evaluation, we can create a custom molded orthotic that best benefits your body’s needs.

Here are a few areas orthotics address:
1. Lower back pain
2. Chronic neck pain
3. Posture
4. Whiplash
5. Hip pain
6. Knee pain
7. Short leg
8. Sacroiliac pain
9. Foot problems
10. Heel pain/spurs
11. Sports injuries
12. Ankle pain
13. Shin splints
